For most of us that order a cleaning service, it’s a luxury; most of us that order the services simply don’t want to or don’t have the time to do it. But Customized Janitorial has found that those who really need and deserve it the most are unable to afford the services.
These are the seniors and disabled people of our community, who have no one to help and are forced to live in substandard environments. Many of the disabled applicants are veterans, young and old, who were injured while fighting for our rights. Given the opportunity, would you deny these people a basic housekeeping service? I know you can understand the emotions that stirred inside of us as we did just that, and why we are so passionate about making a difference.
Customized Janitorial has been called to assist seniors that are bedridden and cannot care after themselves. We have met seniors that sleep in soiled sheets because they don’t have the strength to do laundry. Although you and I take the ability to bring the trash to the curb for granted, for the bedridden, it is a monumental task.
Home health aides are stretched thin, and should be devoted to providing medical care to as many people as they can reach. Our housekeeping services not only help the residents, they make the job of the home health aides easier and less depressing.
Nursing homes are overcrowded, outrageously expensive (paid with your tax dollars) and they represent the end of independence. In cases where a simple housekeeping service is all that stands between independence and a nursing home aren’t you willing to help?
Helping seniors and the disabled are not the only benefits of donating to CJ Cares. We have several other programs, some already in place, some coming soon, that bring hope to the less fortunate. We operate programs that provide food, clothing and shelter for those in need.
